Life Cycle Simulation of Products in a Competitive Market

چکیده
This paper proposes a life cycle simulation technique to analyze multiple-objective performances of supply chains of products in a competitive market. This approach addresses structural reconfigurability of supply chains, in which OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) adjust the production by changing the completion level of supplied products. A case study evaluates the structural reconfigurability of a supply chain for laptop computers from the viewpoints of economic, environmental and delivery performances using a life cycle simulation technique that can identify a possibility to improve these performances.

Integrated Competitive Pricing and Transshipment Problem for Short Life Cycle Products’ Supply Chain
This paper integrates competitive pricing and network design problems for the short life cycle products. The pricing problem determines selling prices of the products for different life cycle phases in a competitive market, as well as acquisition management of returned products. Besides, the selling and acquisition prices are related to the distance between distribution centers and customers. T...

As a result of these changes and developments in technology, which often come unexpectedly, consumers are frequently tempted to update their devices to the very latest model. The result is that the life cycle of a produc...
متن کاملAn EPQ Model for Product Life Cycle (Maturity Stage) with Deteriorating Items and Shortages
A product life cycle is the life span of a product in which the period begins with the initial product specification and ends with the withdrawal from the market of both the product and its support. A product life cycle can be divided into several stages characterized by the revenue generated by the product. This study investigates inventory control policies in a manufacturing system for a si...

Remanufacturing is an industrial process that makes used products reusable. Remanufacturing is a way to establish a closed-loop supply chain. One of the important aspects in both reverse logistics and remanufacturing is pricing of returned and remanufactured products (called cores) that it has been noticed in this paper. In addition, in this paper the researchers have tried to present a mathema...
